Jarrod Grant
Singer/Songwriter
Jarrod Grant is a rising force in the Newcastle grassroots music scene. Known for his heartfelt indie-folk style and captivating songwriting, he fosters a strong, sincere bond with his audience and is constantly pulling on the heartstrings of his fans. Growing up in Coffs Harbour, a coastal town that influenced much of his raw, reflective sound, Jarrod’s music has always been deeply personal and relatable.
Since the release of his debut EP Carpark Heartbreak, which has garnered over fifteen thousand streams, Jarrod has quickly become an extremely prolific and locally loved artist. Each release since 2022 has built on his growing presence, with recent placements on Spotify’s Acoustic Chill and Ditto Coffee playlists further amplifying his reach. Carpark Heartbreak remains his most successful project, but his music is always evolving, with Jarrod continuing to experiment with new sounds and collaborations. 2024 proved to be a busy year, with four new tracks released, each created with a different producer or collaborator. Dead Lips, one of these songs, has been the standout so far.
Jarrod’s live performances have also impacted—notably when he sold out his first headline rooftop show at Newcastle's The Rogue Scholar for his EP launch. His music is steadily gaining recognition as he continues to perform across Newcastle and the Central Coast, sharing the stage with a diverse range of local artists, duos, collaborators, and producers, including James Reynolds. The song Reynolds produced is expected to be his next release.
Looking ahead, Jarrod is gearing up to release a new EP later this year, with a tour set to coincide with the release of the lead single. With a strong work ethic and a loyal fanbase, there’s no doubt that Jarrod Grant’s journey is just getting started.
